The Bridge – Carpentry
Earn your DVS through a flexible and advantageous pathway!
Have you completed an Attestation of Vocational Studies (AVS) in Carpentry? Now it’s time to cross the bridge to your Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS).
Why take the “Bridge” training?
- Complete your journey: The AVS consists of 705 hours of training, while the DVS requires 1,350. This program allows you to complete the remaining 645 hours to obtain your DVS.
- Schedule adapted to your reality: Offered in the evenings from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, so you can continue working during the day.
- Duration: From September 2025 to mid-February 2026.
- A springboard to a better salary: The DVS gives you access to a higher pay scale. By completing “The Bridge,” you obtain your DVS as well as an additional 700 hours recognized by the CCQ.
- Possible financial support: The Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) may offer reimbursement for travel expenses (check eligibility criteria).
